for Service Providers and Teachers

Getting Started & Early Bird Access

ClassHub is a new platform designed to connect service providers and teachers like you with individuals and families across New Zealand who are looking for classes, workshops, and services based on their interests and location.

We welcome a wide range of providers, including individual teachers, tutors, coaches, artists, and organisations offering educational, recreational, or skill-based services. If you offer a service or class that can enrich someone's life or learning, ClassHub is for you!

As a thank you for joining us in our early stages, "Early Bird" members receive 6 months of complimentary full access to all ClassHub features from the moment you activate your account after our launch. This means you can use all our tools and list your services without any subscription fees during this period.

Yes! For our Early Bird members, joining and using all platform features is completely free for the first 6 months after activation. After this introductory period, we plan to offer a range of options, including a basic free plan and affordable paid plans for enhanced features and visibility. We will provide plenty of notice before any changes.

If you've received an activation email, simply click the link provided to set up your account. If you found us through our website, you can register here. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@familia.co.nz.

Managing your profile

You can create a comprehensive profile including:

  • Your name (individual or organisation).
  • A profile description ("About" section).
  • Contact details (email, phone, address – you can choose to keep these private).
  • A profile image.
  • Links to your website and social media.
  • Operating hours.
  • Languages you offer services in.
  • Relevant tags to help users find you.
  • (For Teachers) Qualifications and specialisations.

Yes. While some information like your name and description is public, you can choose whether to display your phone number, email, and address. This way, you can maintain your privacy while still connecting with potential clients.

Tags are keywords that help users find you when they search. For example, a music teacher might use tags like "guitar," "piano," "beginner," "adult lessons." Choose tags that accurately reflect your services and specialisations. We may review tags to ensure they are appropriate and helpful.

Listing Your Classes & Services

Once logged into your provider dashboard, you'll find an option to "Add New Class" (or similar). You'll be guided through a form to add details like the class name, description, schedule, price, location, images, etc.

Be as clear as possible! Include:

  • What students will learn or experience.
  • Who the class is suitable for (age, skill level).
  • Any materials required.
  • Your teaching style or approach.
  • A compelling hero image and catalogue image.

Absolutely! When creating a class, you can specify if it's online, in-person, or both. You can also indicate if it's for groups or one-to-one.

Yes, our scheduling system is flexible. You can set up:

  • One-off events with a specific start date/time and duration.
  • Recurring classes (e.g., every Monday at 4 PM, weekly for 8 weeks, monthly on the first Saturday). You can define repeat intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and specific days.
  • Custom schedules if needed.

To maintain a quality experience for users, new public class listings are reviewed by our team before they go live on the platform. We aim to review new listings quickly. You will be notified once your class is approved. Unlisted classes (visible only via a direct link) do not require approval.

An unlisted class is not shown in public search results or catalogues. It's only accessible if someone has the direct link. This can be useful for private groups, special offers, or if you're still finalising details.

Yes, you have full control to edit or delete your class listings at any time through your provider dashboard.

Interacting with Users

Users can contact you through a contact form on your ClassHub profile or class listing page. These messages will be shown in your dashboard Inbox as well as forwarded to the email address you registered with. We do not currently have an internal two-way messaging system on the platform.

Users can leave reviews on your teacher profile. New reviews are moderated by our team before being published. You will be notified when a new review is published. You cannot directly respond to reviews on the platform at this time, but we encourage you to address any feedback constructively.
