In this course you will examine structural drawing focusing on the value of organic and geometric shapes and solids with a careful helpful approach. Organic shapes will contribute to spontaneity, Geometric shapes to a cohesive structure and help compositionally, while geometric solids will help render any subject in three dimensions both real and invented.
In this course you will learn the following:
- The difference and interconnectivity between organic shapes and geometric shapes.
- How a shape has character from calm and stable to dynamic and precarious.
- Geometric shape's secret contribution to cohesion and composition in an artwork.
- Using geometric volumes to draw real and invented objects convincingly
- How to achieve balance and understand page hierarchy.
