Develop your life-drawing skills and learn to render the human form in this 4-week course.
Life drawing is a basic staple for all artists. This course will help artists and designers at all levels to develop their life-drawing skills. Starting with an exploration of structure, form, shape and proportion, we will progress through foreshortening while creating illusions of depth and atmosphere using light sourcing. You will also learn to draw using a range of media.
Please bring an A2 sketch pad, 2B and 4B pencils and an eraser. Cost of model included in course fee.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
- Draw the human form
- Comprehend structure and shape
- Demonstrate fundamental drawing skills
- Be familiar with proportion
- Use drawing media to create tonal range
Please note this course uses live models to draw from. It may include some nudity, including draped models and possibly completely unclothed models.
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
