This creative two-day drawing holiday workshop introduces tweens and teens to the fundamentals of structure, perspective and observational drawing in a supportive studio environment.
Guided by tutor Ross Payne, students will explore drawing with pencils and pens while developing confidence in drawing both real and imagined subjects. Through a combination of observational exercises, imagination-based drawing and structured techniques, participants will learn how to better understand form, space, light and composition.
Topics explored during the workshop include perspective drawing, shading and shadows, facial structure, human figures, animals and creature forms, as well as composition and working with a range of black-and-white drawing materials. Returning students will also be encouraged with additional creative challenges to support their ongoing artistic development.
Suitable for beginners as well as young artists looking to strengthen their drawing skills and creative confidence.
Basic materials are provided.
