A creative arts holiday programme for teens focusing on pottery wheel throwing and hand building techniques.
Explore the techniques of pottery making including creating a mug using handbuilding processes and making a small bowl using throwing techniques on a pottery wheel. Students will be shown how to centre clay and make a small bowl on the wheel and trim it. Cups and bowls will be glazed by the tutor and ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks later depending on drying conditions.
This workshop is limited to three students only to ensure each person has individualised attention.
Bring: An apron or wear clothes that you are comfortable getting clay on.
Suitable for: Ages 12+.
