This class is a perfect starting point for beginners and a welcoming refresher for anyone returning to the craft.
In this hands-on course, you’ll learn the essential foundations of sewing in a relaxed, supportive environment.
What you'll learn:
- How to thread and use a sewing machine
- Sewing straight lines and basic seam techniques
- Adjusting the tension and troubleshooting common problems
- Understanding fabric properties, seam allowances
- Inserting an invisible zip
No prior experience is necessary. By the end of the class, you’ll have the confidence to tackle simple projects on your own.
What you'll make:
A zipped cushion cover with a beautiful professional finish.
Skill level:
No experience required. Suitable for students aged 18 yo +.
Fee: $120 per person + materials (sewing machine hire included)
