At Mahi Mara McLennan Community Garden, Sue will run this fun, hands-on worm farm workshop for kids. Dive into the fascinating world of tiger worms and discover how these tiny composting heroes turn food scraps into fertiliser for your plants. There’ll be plenty of wiggly worm fun and hands-on activities including how to make a mini-worm from ice-cream containers to take home. Perfect for kids aged 5-10, adult supervision required.
Each attending child is asked to bring along two clean ice-cream containers and lids (2L dark plastic) along with a small amount of vegetable scrap if they can.
This workshop is designed for children and their caregivers. Please register one ticket per child and one ticket per accompanying adult. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult.
All confirmed workshop participants get a 50% discount voucher to order a compost system through our website and we’ll deliver it straight to your door.
This workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council and brought to you by the Compost Collective.
Please note: booking is required on the organiser’s website.
