Join us for a fun, interactive workshop at Botany Library with Sue, to learn all about worm farms. Dive into the fascinating world of tiger worms and discover how these tiny composting heroes turn food scraps into fertiliser for your plants. There’ll be plenty of wiggly worm fun and hands-on activities including how to make a mini-worm from ice-cream containers to take home. Perfect for kids aged 5-10, adult supervision required. Please register one ticket per child and one ticket per accompanying adult.
Each attending child is asked to bring along two clean ice-cream containers and lids (2L dark plastic) along with a small amount of vegetable scrap if they can. We will provide a small amount of tiger worms to get your farm started.
All confirmed workshop participants get a 50% discount voucher to order a compost system through our website and we’ll deliver it straight to your door. Plus, you’ll also receive a free rat trap to help keep pests under control!
This workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council, Botany Library and brought to you by the Compost Collective.
You’ll find the Library on Level 1, in the Sunset Terrace building.
Please note: booking is required on the organiser’s website.
