Ideal for both beginners and experienced students! Early bird pricing of $122 till 27 April.
This lively, hands-on workshop is designed for complete beginners, but it’s also a great opportunity for more experienced students to enjoy a creative session making their own unique bracelet.
Everyone will leave with a beautifully finished bracelet of their own preferred texture. We’ll begin by experimenting on a sample strip of copper, where you’ll practice creating textures using hammers, punches and stamps.
Once you’re confident you’ll move on to your main project: a 3mm wide flat strip bracelet in either sterling silver or copper, crafted entirely by you from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll learn essential jewellery making skills including measuring, texturing, soldering, shaping, and finishing. Students are free to personalise their bangle with textures or stamped designs. This could be a simple hammered finish, decorative patterns, or meaningful words, names, dates, or poetry lines - making your bracelet truly one of a kind. Beginners will work with the 3mm strip provided, ensuring a rewarding project that’s manageable to complete.
Wider metal is much harder to form and solder, so we are learning to walk before we can run ;)
Copper is included in the course fee, if you wish to work in silver you can purchase it on the day. This workshop is a taster class: perfect for anyone seeking a fun, creative experience with a beautiful result, or for those looking to dip their toes into jewellery making and build foundational skills.
Important Note for Young Makers: Kids aged 12 and over are welcome to attend, but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio if you wish to make more.
