Titanium is an amazingly light metal that can transform from a subtle grey to a whole range of super vibrant, or sleek and pale colours, from gold, pink, purple or deep blue, to light blue, palest green and subtle grey.
You’ll begin by practising fundamental metalworking techniques on copper, then experiment with flame-colouring titanium to understand how heat transforms its surface. With these skills, you’ll craft your own earrings, exploring texture and colour.
We’ll use a rolling mill to imprint natural or abstract patterns into the titanium sheet, shaping pieces into clean geometric forms—rectangles, diamonds, triangles, or squares. You can also experiment with layering elements for added depth and variation.
Finish your design with a choice of comfortable hooks or hoops, and leave with a unique, wearable piece.
Titanium is hypoallergenic, and your findings options include surgical stainless steel and gold-plated stainless steel.
