A guided night sky experience using the iconic Zeiss Telescope to observe planets and deep-space objects.

Explore the night sky through the iconic Zeiss Telescope, the largest public telescope in Aotearoa New Zealand.

These guided evening sessions take place inside the historic telescope dome on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, weather permitting. In a small group setting, visitors have the rare opportunity to observe deep-space objects through the Zeiss telescope, with expert commentary from the astronomy team.

On clear nights, four to five celestial objects may be visible, including star clusters, nebulae and planets such as Saturn. Each session offers a close-up and immersive experience for those interested in astronomy and space exploration.

Please note
