Discover the joy of drawing in this relaxed and social class designed for beginners. Guided by your tutor, you’ll explore drawing with pencil, charcoal and ink through simple exercises that help break down complex subjects into basic shapes before building them up with tone and detail.
During the course you will explore:
• Basic drawing techniques using pencil, charcoal and ink
• Understanding shapes, scale and proportion
• Creating tone, texture and depth
• Observational drawing from different subjects
Each session focuses on a different theme, such as still life, flora and fauna, portraiture, and basic perspective. As your skills develop, you’ll build confidence creating your own drawings. You are also welcome to bring a personal project for individual guidance.
