Learn the basics of sewing in this relaxed, beginner-friendly course. Whether you’re completely new to sewing or looking to refresh your skills, this class will guide you through essential techniques step by step.
During the course you will learn how to:
• Use a sewing machine with confidence
• Sew different stitches and seam finishes
• Insert zips and sew buttonholes
• Understand the sewing process from pattern cutting to assembling a garment
The course begins with learning how to use a sewing machine and practising basic techniques. You’ll then complete a simple class project before moving on to your own project. Students are welcome to bring a pattern and receive guidance while creating their own piece.
No previous sewing experience is required.

• Pattern
*Please contact the provider before enrolling if you do not have a sewing machine. A limited number may be available for use during the course.
