Introductory MIG welding course with hands-on training to create your own metal projects.
Interested in learning how to weld? This introductory MIG welding course provides practical, hands-on training in a safe and supportive workshop environment. Guided by an experienced tutor, you’ll learn essential welding techniques along with the safe use of basic metalworking tools and equipment.
Suitable for beginners and those with limited experience, the course helps you build the confidence and skills to create your own outdoor furniture, garden pieces or metal sculptures.
Safety is a priority. Earplugs, gloves, welding helmets and safety glasses are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own. Gas, wire and equipment use are included in the course fee.
Participants will develop their own individual projects, so please bring measurements or reference images to the first session. The first class focuses on safety procedures and project planning, so no materials are required at that stage.
Please note:
• Materials for personal projects are not included.
• For safety reasons, students with pacemakers are unable to attend.
