Start learning Italian with this beginner-friendly course designed for those with little or no prior experience.
This course provides a practical introduction to the language, combining essential grammar with everyday phrases you can use in real-life situations, including travel. Classes are supportive and interactive, helping you build confidence from the very beginning. The course is led by experienced tutor Riccardo Lucignani.
You’ll learn how to greet people in different situations, introduce yourself, and talk about your family and daily life. The course also covers useful skills such as asking for directions, telling the time, handling simple conversations in cafés, shops, and hotels, and understanding prices. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to key grammar concepts, including present tense verbs, basic sentence structure, and common question forms.
By the end of the course, you can expect to manage simple conversations, order food and drinks, ask for information, and navigate everyday situations in Italian. Each session builds on the previous one, and short homework tasks are provided to support your learning. Regular practice between classes is encouraged.
This course is suitable both as a foundation for further Italian study and as preparation for a trip to Italy. Follow-on levels are available for those who wish to continue developing their skills.
