Held over 8 weeks, this course offers a welcoming introduction to the Spanish language and culture. Classes are relaxed and interactive, helping you build confidence step by step in a supportive environment. The course is led by experienced tutor Teresita del Valle Garro Castro.
You’ll begin with everyday basics such as greetings, introducing yourself, and simple conversations. Along the way, you’ll explore useful vocabulary related to family, professions, time, and daily life, while also learning about cultural differences between Spain and Latin America. The course also introduces pronunciation and foundational grammar.
By the end of the course, you can expect to understand and use simple phrases, recognise key vocabulary, and feel more comfortable speaking and listening in Spanish. Regular revision between classes is encouraged, and short homework tasks may be provided to support your progress.
This course focuses on general language foundations rather than travel-specific phrases. If you’re looking for practical language for trips, separate “Spanish for Travellers” courses are available.
Suitable for complete beginners. Follow-on levels are available for those who wish to continue learning and develop their skills further.
