Make a stunning heirloom-worthy ring over three sessions! Early bird price of $234 ends 6 July
You will learn to create a tapered pattern for a ring to fit your finger. You will get to practice in copper or brass first then make your masterpiece in solid golden bronze.
You will measure and cut the bronze, then apply a beautifully shiny, sparkly hammered finish using carefully polished hammers. Then you’ll be guided through soldering and forming up your tapered band, before carefully cleaning it up and applying the finishing touches to make this a ring that will be coveted for generations.
An excellent, fun class if you have already taken one of our Stacking Rings or Textured Earrings classes and fancy adding to your jewellery collection.
All materials supplied, optional upgrade to solid sterling silver - silver sheets in a range of thicknesses are available for purchase in the workshop. *If you really love your bronze or brass ring and want to elevate it with a thin sterling silver liner, a 4 or 6 week block is ideal to take your piece to the next level. Included in the class fee are copper for practising on, and sterling silver bar to create your twist ring and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio.
Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
