Experience a playful musical retelling of The Tortoise and the Hare, brought to life by a quintet of musicians from the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
Designed especially for young audiences, this interactive concert invites children to sing, move and be part of the story through live music, narration and illustrations by Stephen Templer. Led by Chris Lam Sam, the performance blends storytelling and music in a way that is engaging, accessible and fun for tamariki and their whānau.
Children are encouraged to participate throughout, with a relaxed atmosphere where movement and noise are welcome. After the concert, there’s also an opportunity to meet the musicians.
In this concert you will:
• Hear live music performed by NZSO musicians
• Join in through singing and movement
• Watch the story come to life through illustrations
• Meet the musicians after the performance
