Explore the possibilities of oil painting in this 8-week course open to all levels.
This class is open to all levels of students interested in exploring the possibilities of this traditional medium. The main exercises will be based on a still life, however students are free to explore subjects of their choice.
This course focuses on the technique of oil painting. You will learn to:
- Choose a colour palette
- Choose and prepare supports on which to paint on with oils
- Create a composition according to the subject selected
- Learn how to render volume and form
- Learn expressive qualities of colour and brushwork
Students will also learn to stretch their own canvas
If you want to explore the possibilities of painting in oils then this is the course for you.

Wheelchair access into the school and Ceramics Studio is located at the top of the driveway to the left of the main house.
