Learn basic hand-building techniques at the historic Inverlochy house. This eight week course is suitable for beginners and more advanced students with knowledge of clay.
In this course you will:
- Gain a wide working knowledge and understanding of clay hand building, decorating, and basic glazing techniques
- Have the opportunity to work on your own ideas and projects
- Receive guidance on the wheel for those who have attended previous wheel throwing courses or workshops. Pottery wheels available for shared use.
- Take home a variety of finished and ready to use pieces.
- Have access to equipment, a suitable amount of clay to learn the techniques taught in class (more available for purchase), selection of glazes, fired and finished pieces to take home
Teenagers booking this course must be a minimum 16 years of age.
Bring an apron or wear clothes that you are comfortable getting clay on.
Please note:
Wheelchair access into the school and Ceramics Studio is located at the top of the driveway to the left of the main house.
