Study the human figure through both drawing and sculpture in this hands-on 2-day workshop at Inverlochy Art School, led by tutor Jake Fairweather. Using close observation as a foundation, students will explore the curves, proportions and subtle details of the human body while developing stronger observational and artistic skills.
Throughout the course, you’ll experiment with size, volume and different creative techniques across both mediums. Students will also explore ways to capture personality and expression in their work while learning traditional approaches to figure drawing and sculpture.
Course fee includes the live model, tutor guidance, air-dry modelling clay, tools and equipment.
Please bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the historic Inverlochy house or visit nearby cafés in Te Aro during the one-hour lunch break.
Please note: wheelchair access is available to the main school and Ceramics Studio via the driveway entrance. Some upstairs studios are accessible only by stairs. Contact the school directly if you require accessibility support.
