Spend a creative day exploring the expressive world of action painting in this hands-on workshop with EK. You’ll experiment with dynamic techniques such as dripping, splashing, and gestural brushwork, focusing on movement and intuition rather than precise control.
Action painting, often referred to as gestural abstraction, is all about the physical process of painting. Throughout the session, you’ll be guided through different approaches and techniques, helping you build confidence while developing your own abstract style. The emphasis is on exploration and enjoyment, making it easy to engage whether you’re completely new or have some prior experience.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll complete your own artwork on a large canvas to take home.
All materials are included, such as acrylic paints, quality paper, and a large canvas (approximately 500 x 700mm). Tea and coffee are available on site. Please bring your lunch and an apron or smock if you’d like to protect your clothing.
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with limited experience who want to continue developing their creative skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
