Create your own beautiful naked cake in this hands-on baking workshop, perfect for beginners and confident home bakers alike.
The workshop is led by experienced tutor Tim Gasson.
In this one-day session, you’ll learn how to make a modern “naked cake”, a popular style that features a light, minimal layer of frosting, allowing the cake’s natural texture and fillings to shine through.
You’ll be guided step by step through the full process, from baking a soft, stable sponge to stacking, filling, and finishing your cake with a clean, professional look. The workshop also covers simple decorating techniques using fresh fruit, flowers, or minimal accents to achieve a natural and elegant style.
By the end of the session, you’ll have your own finished cake to take home, along with the skills and confidence to recreate this design for celebrations or special occasions.
Please bring an apron, a tea towel, and a container (approximately 25 cm) to transport your cake home. Lunch is not provided, so feel free to bring your own.
