Discover the timeless art of sourdough baking in this hands-on workshop, where you’ll learn how to create delicious loaves and rolls using rye and wholemeal spelt flour.
Sourdough has been loved across Europe for centuries, and in this session, your tutor Kristina Cope will guide you through the essential techniques step by step. Because sourdough is a multi-day process, you’ll work with dough at different stages of preparation to better understand how it develops, from starter to finished loaf.
You’ll learn how to mix, shape, and prepare dough for baking, while gaining a clear understanding of the full sourdough process so you can confidently recreate it at home. Kristia will also share practical tips on maintaining a healthy starter, sourcing ingredients, and troubleshooting common issues.
Each participant will receive notes and the recipe used in class, along with a sourdough starter to take home (if desired), so you can begin your own baking journey right away. You’ll also get to taste freshly baked sourdough during the workshop.
All ingredients are included in the course fee. An apron is recommended.
