A guided photography walk around Auckland's hidden street art gems with practical support on camera settings and composition.

You may have stumbled on the hidden art gems around Auckland - they are everywhere but you just need to know where they are! Street art can be found in the strangest and most surprising places but never ceases to delight. This session is a walk around some of the most significant pieces of street art in the central city with practical support on photographing the walk and artworks.

Expected learning outcomes:

  • learn useful camera settings for capturing street art images
  • guidance on composition and perspective
  • learn to incorporate the foreground to create depth and interest

What you should bring?

  • Camera (charged battery and space on card)
  • Tripod
  • Filters
  • Wide angle lens if you have one

Who should attend? Novice and intermediate level photographers who already have basic familiarity with their camera and its manual/semi-automatic functions. Students will meet at a central venue in Auckland city and the meeting point and contact details will be emailed upon registration. Suitable for those with hybrid, SLR or DSLR cameras.
