Discover the psychology behind how we think, feel, and behave, and learn practical tools you can use every day to boost resilience, improve relationships, and better understand yourself and others.

Everyday Psychology is a six-session course that explores the science behind how we think, feel, and behave, with a focus on practical application. You'll examine key topics including memory and why we forget, stress and resilience in daily life, how people develop from birth to old age, and how identity, culture, and groups shape the way we see ourselves and others.

The course also explores influence, conflict, mental wellbeing, and self-care. Each session combines psychological theory with practical strategies, giving you insights and tools you can apply straight away in your work, relationships, and everyday decision-making.

Who should attend?

Anyone who has ever wondered, "Why do I do that?" or questioned why other people behave the way they do. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and the people around them.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, you'll be able to understand, discuss, and apply practical strategies related to:

  • Mind and Body: Mental health, stress, and resilience.
  • How We Think: Memory, decision-making, attention, and cognitive biases.
  • Who We Are: Development, personality, identity, and gender/sexuality.
  • How We Relate: Influence, conflict, negotiation, and group dynamics.
